Venesco has a $249 million multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for research activities support services for the U.S. Army. Under our task order awards, we contribute to research involving environmental health engineering, public heath, disease prevention, burn & soft tissue injury, battlefield pain management, dental trauma, teleradiology, clinical trials in burns & trauma, and tactical combat casualty care.

AEROSPACE MEDICAL RESEARCH

Venesco has a prime contract with the Federal Aviation Administration in support of its aerospace medical research program. The program keeps the aeromedical community abreast of emerging human safety risks and addresses the complexities of integrating emerging technology and systems. For example, we can improve aeromedical decisions based on advancements in physiology, biodynamics, toxicology, pathology, molecular biochemistry, and mathematical modeling & simulation.

COMBAT CAUSALITY CARE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Venesco shares the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research’s (USAISR) dedication to combat casualty care and medical solutions for wounded warriors. We support several distinct R&D projects for USAISR’s Research Directorate. We work in tactical combat casualty care, enroute care, expeditionary critical care, burn injuries, extremity trauma & regenerative medicine, damage control resuscitation, clinical trials, and coagulation & blood research.

ANIMAL CARE & RESEARCH

We manage research with an understanding of federal regulations governing animal husbandry & animal care. In collaboration with USAISR and the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, we develop animal models to help identify medical solutions for combat casualty care. We offer animal surveillance & environmental monitoring, veterinary services, necropsy services, emergency services, medical tasks, and sterilization & sanitation in support of several critical research programs.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT & HUMAN RESEARCH PROTECTION

Venesco provides human protocol support to the Brooke Army Medical Center’s Human Research Protection Office. In addition, we provide quality assurance for human subjects research and medical device regulatory support services to the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research’s Quality Management Division.

INFECTIOUS DISEASE RESEARCH

We provide enteric immunology research and field studies in support of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. We conduct clinical and preclinical research on diarrheal diseases within the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences. We also coordinate studies on rodent and vector-borne diseases in countries in South and Southeast Asia.
