PROJECT COORDINATOR / ANALYST – NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC

Venesco provides information technology support services at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. We are looking for a Project Manager to support our contract, focusing on analysis and project coordination for NASA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Portfolios to include but not limited to the Cybersecurity Improvements Portfolio (CIP). This role will perform project coordination and analysis as part of the core portfolio team supporting the projects and initiatives implemented to achieve the requirements of Executive Order 14028, related Office of Management and Budget (OMB) memorandums, and other NASA OCIO cybersecurity improvements.

In this position, you will join an existing team of professionals committed to supporting NASA’s missions and the success of the team, exceeding expectations, adding value for taxpayers, and actively engaging in continuous learning. This position requires a Public Trust Clearance. This is a remote position that may require occasional travel to NASA Centers.

Position Description

  • Analyze cost, schedule, performance and risk for subordinate programs and projects
  • Identify dependencies and points of integration for subordinate programs and projects
  • Maintain situational awareness of assigned projects and activities
  • Create risk statements, review and analyze project and activity risks
  • Maintain and coordinate response to actions, action status, and closeout reports
  • Develop and implement business processes related to project integration and reporting
  • Communicate daily with the CIP Portfolio manager on changes in project status and issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years in tactical (project planning/execution)
  • 3-5 years in operational (service/product delivery)
  • 3-5 years in risk management (risk identification/articulation)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (highly preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to analyze projects to understand dependencies and impact on the critical path
  • Ability to understand IT technical language
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate and understand technical discussion and at an executive level
  • Ability to establish plans to assist in project troubleshooting and recovery
  • Experience working in or with a federal government environment (desired, not required)
  • 2+ years Cybersecurity experience is a substantial plus (desired, not required)
  • 3+ years working in SharePoint environments (desired, not required)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint (desired, not required)
