Health Services

PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES

Our licensed clinical psychologists support the Defense Health Agency’s Psychological Health Center of Excellence, providing training support to worldwide DoD installations.

Our subject matter experts deliver specialized clinical advisory services to improve clinical processes related to primary care behavioral health. We use psychological interventions and applications to integrate the primary care behavioral health model of care. Other focuses of this contract include cognitive behavior, dietetics, occupational health, sleep studies, and social work.

HEALTH & WELLNESS SUPPORT

Venesco deploys a multi-disciplinary approach to employee wellness in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Our objective extends to collaborating between medical and behavioral health components as they relate to deployment health and employee suitability for specific work roles. Under TS SCI security classifications, our on-site staff of physicians, physician assistants, occupational health staff nurses, and medical clinic managers work collaboratively to support health & wellness programs and provide behavioral health services.

CLINICAL RECOMMENDATION SERVICES

We promote state-of-science care from point-of-injury to reintegration to prevent and mitigate consequences of traumatic brain injury. We specialize in clinical research, patient recruitment, and data collection for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center’s multi-site study. Our scientists develop clinical protocols informed by neuropsychology, neuroscience, and epidemiology. Research gained from this project aims to improve clinical support tools associated with the progressive return to activity after injury. Ultimately, these studies improve the clinical practices and standards for brain injury in military medicine.

POPULATION HEALTH PROGRAM SUPPORT

Venesco developed a five-year health plan to optimize the health of 400,000 TRICARE beneficiaries in the greater San Diego area through population health programs at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. Our team developed intervention strategies that included tertiary prevention (programs that help beneficiaries treat chronic diseases), secondary prevention (programs that help beneficiaries manage risks for diseases), and primary prevention (programs that help beneficiaries prevent diseases). Venesco incorporated leading population health management practices into the population health strategic plan.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTEGRATION

Venesco provides full-time program support to the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. We effectively and efficiently implement and sustain the DoD-mandated Behavioral Health Integration Program throughout U.S. Navy Medical Home Ports, U.S. Marine Centered Medical Homes, and Fleet Centered Medical Homes. We develop and implement on-site & remote training and provide senior-level consultation, program evaluation, and decision modelling.
