Cloud Engineer / System Engineer IV – Department of Labor

Venesco LLC is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our growing team at the Department of Labor. This is a remote opportunity.


  • Bachelors degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other public cloud services
  • At least 2 years of experience in DevOps Engineering including Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes, or other automation
  • At least 2 years of experience with Cloud Formation Templates (CFT), Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, or Terraform
  • Experience using modern build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Experience with working in an agile environment
  • Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Solarwinds, Splunk, and similar toolsets for workflow management
  • Experience with Solarwinds, Splunk, and similar tools for logging and monitoring toolsets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Cloud Engineering experience
  • 6+ years of DevOps Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of Python scripting experience
  • Experience using modern build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Experience with modern relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, Redshift, SQL Server
  • Experience with deploying clustered web services
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with agile teams
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
